Engage! Cleveland Announces Event Schedule for Remainder of 2017
CLEVELAND, Ohio – September 18, 2017 – Engage Cleveland, a nonprofit organization focused on attracting, engaging and retaining young, diverse talent to Greater Cleveland by connecting young professionals to people, organizations and events, has announced its events schedule for the remainder of 2017. Events will range from behind the scene tours of local companies and organizations to professional development conferences to help introduce young professionals with the resources that make Cleveland a great place to live, work and play.
“We’re excited to continue to partner with local businesses, professionals and organizations in order to connect youngprofessionals with everything Cleveland has to offer,” said Engage Cleveland President, Ashley Basile Oeken. “We lookforward to finishing 2017 with this schedule of events and are in the process of planning more unique, engaging andeducational programs for 2018.”
Events for the remainder of 2017 are as follows:
September 22: Young Professionals Summit: Ohio City Edition - This inaugural Young Professional Summit will bring YPs together for a one-day crash course in economic development, civic engagement, professional networking and volunteerism all while learning about the hidden gems and rich history of “Cleveland’s Complete Neighborhood” – Ohio City.
October 11: Behind the Scenes: American Greetings Creative Studios – Join Engage Cleveland at American Greetings Creative Studios to learn how their creative office space assists in the process of creating greeting cards. Alex Ho, Chief Marketing Officer will speak to our group and then we will depart on an exclusive in-depth tour around the state-of-the-art facility where it all happens.
October 13: Partner Event: Best of Cleveland Party - Join us at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for ClevelandMagazine’s Best of Cleveland Party. Cleveland Magazine has teamed up with Engage Cleveland as a nonprofit partner for 2017. Engage! Cleveland will be in attendance at this year’s event to help raise funds towards ourmission.
October 20: 6th Annual Young Professionals Organizations Workshop - This annual workshop is designed to provide young professionals and young professional organization leaders with information to excel in their professional, personal and civic endeavors. The workshop will go over topics such as marketing and branding your organization, developing a leadership board, planning memorable events for your membership, and collaborating with other young professional organizations. November 15: Behind the Scenes |Playhouse Square - Join Engage! Cleveland for a private tour of Playhouse Square. With five fully restored historic theaters, Playhouse Square is the largest theater restoration project in the world. Join us to go behind the scenes and find out how these gems were saved from the wrecking ball.
• December 13: Holiday MIX | Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - Get into the holiday spirit and join Engage Cleveland forour annual Holiday MIX. This year’s event will take place at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with the opportunity to mix and mingle with other Cleveland young professionals, explore special exhibitions and challenge your friends in Cleveland music trivia.
