Fall Marketing & Events Intern

Position Description

Our Fall 2019 Marketing & Events Intern will learn about Cleveland’s young professional community, employer and civic engagement in great detail. Our intern will gain experience in nonprofit marketing, events and programming.

Schedule

This internship requires a minimum of 15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 am – 5 pm. Additional hours might be required during events.

Compensation

This is an unpaid internship but can qualify for academic credit.

Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will:

  • Write content for marketing collateral, social media and website

  • Assist with the planning and execution of events, programs and services

  • Assist with the promotion of E!C signature events

  • Utilize social media and other platforms to share E!C information across several platforms

  • Assist with data management and other duties as needed

Qualifications

The successful applicant must:

  • Be in the process of earning a Bachelor’s or advanced degree, preferably in communications, marketing, public relations, events, business or a related field

  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills

  • Have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Squarespace, social media platforms, Eventbrite, Hootsuite and other scheduling software

  • Possess outstanding time management skills, organizational skills and a superior attention to detail

  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently

  • Have experience with nonprofits, events and communications or a desire to learn

  • Have the ability to attend public functions/events as a representative of E!C

  • Have a strong passion for Cleveland and Engage! Cleveland’s mission
