Each year, VFA helps 200+ recent college graduates match with startup jobs in 14 cities across the country. You will work with the Senior Director of Company Partnerships to onboard new VFA Fellows, prepare them to put their best foot forward in the matchmaking process, manage our hiring platform (“VFA Match”), and oversee all details of the company placement process.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare Fellows for the hiring process by providing resume reviews and feedback, drafting content for trainings and city overviews, and overseeing our onboarding platform (welcometovfa.org)
  • Support companies in the VFA hiring process by managing hiring agreements, owning VFA Match, and providing technical support to all users
  • Manage 3+ annual job fair events with 100+ attendees each, including venue bookings and logistics, invitations and RSVPs, interview scheduling and event website management
  • Support data infrastructure and management by administering bi-annual surveys to company partners, analyzing and visualizing company and Fellow data, and supporting data request from internal teams and external partners
  • Providing additional support to Community Directors across VFA cities, including document creation (collateral material, pitch decks) and supporting quarterly OKR tracking and reporting
  • Support the annual VFA Selection process, as expected of all team members, and provide ad hoc support to Fellows transitioning roles mid-program

You:

  • Have a B.A./B.S. and 1-3 years of experience in people operations or product management
  • Are a natural problem-solver, have a mind for process and logistics, and can think through every aspect of a problem while developing a solution
  • Have experience with one or more of the following: Salesforce, SQL, Tableau, Splash
  • Are exceptionally organized and detail-oriented -- you can multitask without dropping anything, and never miss a deadline
  • Demonstrate next-level communication skills, and are adept at balancing multiple people’s needs
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and take initiative to solve problems before being asked
  • Are tech savvy, comfortable managing and manipulating data and administering back-end systems

The good stuff:

  • High performers at VFA are given substantial opportunity to grow and develop
  • You’ll earn a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, plus health, dental, and vision benefits
  • VFA is a dynamic mission-driven environment with varied responsibilities and a different challenge each day (we mean it – always plenty of interesting problems to work on!)
  • You’ll work alongside a team of crazy motivated, high-caliber people
  • You’ll suddenly have less trouble getting out of bed and going to work in the morning
