Introduction to Community Engagement

  • Talent Launch 6161 Oak Tree Blvd Independence, OH 44131 (map)

Cleveland is an incredibly philanthropic community and studies show that giving back is important to the quality of a young professional’s life. What are the many ways you can give back to your community in Cleveland? This session will introduce you to the civic community in Cleveland, why it is important to you, how you should get involved and the rewards that result.

What you will learn:

  • The nonprofit sector in Northeast Ohio

  • Awareness of the many community engagement options from serving on a nonprofit board/jr board/friends’ group.

  • Engaging in a short-term pro bono consulting project with a nonprofit or rolling up your sleeves for hands-on direct service volunteering.

  • Self-Assessment of how to best leverage your passions, time, and skills to map out your community engagement.
