About Shirley Hunter
Shirley Hunter, Senior Consultant and Founder of Advent HR, and an affiliate of WeilandWorks consulting. Her varied background includes more than twenty years of experience working with and for financial, non-profit, healthcare, manufacturing, government, communications, and professional services sectors have provided her with a wide breadth of industry exposure, all of which allow her to deliver for each client’s distinctive needs. She is a subject matter expert in motivation, self-esteem, customer relations, change management, conflict management, communication skills, team building, mentoring, customer service, leadership, and emotional intelligence.
Shirley continues to strive for excellence and serves as a role model within her community. She is an active board member of the Cleveland Society for Human Resource Management Foundation (CSHRMF). Shirley is also a decorated United States Army Veteran. Her awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), Army Achievement Medal (3rd Award) and Army Service Ribbon.
Shirley earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management & Labor Relations from Cleveland State University. She has earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources from the HR Certification Institute (www.hrci.org) and Senior Certified Professional credential from SHRM (www.shrm.org).
