YPO Spotlight: Friends of UCP of Greater Cleveland
UCP of Greater Cleveland was founded in 1950 by a group of determined parents who saw few opportunities for their children with cerebral palsy. During this time, there was limited community support available and few resources for individuals with disabilities and their families. This inspired the mission of UCP to empower children and adults with disabilities to advance their independence, productivity and inclusion in the community.
Friends of UCP is the non-profit's young professional organization, which is now in its second full year of establishment. The Friends of UCP aim to expand upon membership in hopes of creating a greater impact on the individuals they serve by broadening their outreach. The organization is currently looking for enthusiastic, energetic individuals to help raise funds and awareness for the organization throughout Northeast Ohio.
