Young Latino Network Elects a New Board!

New YLN BoardYoung Latino Network is pleased to announce the appointment of Selina Rios, Alisha Caraballo, Pablo Santiago, Jason Estremera, and Elaine Suarez, as the new Board of Directors. Selina Rios, President, is a Program Manager in the Central Neighborhood at Alfred A. Benesch Elementary School. Rios, originally from Kansas City, MO, graduated from William Jewell College in 2010 with a B.A. in International Relations. She is actively involved with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, working in an investment school. Selina was recently selected for a leadership position with City Year Headquarters on the 2013 Summer Academy Team.

Alisha Caraballo, First VP, is the HR Generalist/HR Business Partner for AMRESCO, a Solon-based manufacturer of biochemicals for the life science industry. She attended the School of Communications of Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Mass Media Production. She also achieved her certification as a Professional Human Resources (PHR).

Pablo Santiago, Second VP, works for RTA Paratransit as a Reservations Operator. Pablo has been in Cleveland since 2005, when he relocated from Yauco, Puerto Rico. Santiago earned a Technical Management Bachelor, with Business Information System minor from DeVry University.

Jason Estremera, Treasurer, joined the Northeast Ohio Hispanic Business Center and Chamber of Commerce in January of 2013, as the Director of Business Services. Estremera manages the organization’s education and outreach programs, assisting entrepreneurs and small business owners with business development. Jason earned a BS in Textiles, Apparel and Merchandising from Northern Indiana University, and will complete his MBA from the College of Graduate Studies at Cleveland State University, in December 2013.

Elaine Suarez, Secretary, is currently the Mentoring Coordinator at Esperanza Inc. She is in charge of recruiting volunteer mentors and managing relationships between mentors and mentees. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Baldwin Wallace University and a Master of Public Administration with a specialization in Nonprofit Management from Northern Illinois University.

Board of Directors of Young Latino Network are appointed to serve two year terms.
