Whether you have some last minute shopping, want to enjoy the cool weather, or enjoy the twinkling lights throughout the city, Cleveland has some fun holiday festivities sure to get you in the holiday spirit. Tobogganing in the Metroparks

  • Experience the tallest and fastest shoots in Ohio, located right in the Cleveland Metroparks. You will feel a rush of adrenaline as you speed down a 700- foot ice chute at up to 50mph!!

Crocker ParkTree Lighting at Crocker Park

  • Kick-off the holiday season at Crocker Park with performances by community groups and Peyton List, then help Santa Claus countdown to light up Crocker Park!

Glow at the Cleveland Botanical Garden

  • Glow will transport you to a world full of seasonal cheer! You can hop aboard the Garden Express for a whimsical train ride, take a photo in front of the two-story tree, or visit a lively town square filled with musicians and carolers.

Light Up Lakewood

Highlights of this event include Vendor Village inside the historic Masonic Hall, the Holiday Parade, live entertainment provided by bands, choirs and dancers, the Lighting Ceremony at 6:30pm at the Main Stage at City Center Park, and a fireworks show at 6:45pm over the rooftops of Downtown Lakewood.

Winterfest in Downtown Cleveland

  • With plenty to do for every age group, Winterfest in Downtown is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season! See below for examples of events at different locations downtown:
    • Public Square: Holiday pop-up shop, food trucks, the #ThisisCLE sign, the official lighting ceremony, and a skating rink
    • The Arcade: Meet for Take a Hike a historic Euclid Avenue tour every Saturday through Dec. 10.
    • Cleveland Public Library: Free horse-drawn carriage rides
    • Allen Theater: The lobbies of the Allen Theatre will be decorated to holiday perfection in the Festival of Trees. This event features a grand display showcasing more than 20 trees exquisitely decorated by various local designers.

  • Cost: $25-$50 a group depending on length of route with a percentage of the proceeds goes to the Famicos One World Theatre Camp.

  • A favorite tradition in northeast Ohio, attend a showing of the Great Lakes Theaters rendition of a Christmas Carol! A perfect event for people of all ages, this show is guaranteed to get you into the holiday spirit.

  • Date: November 26th- December 23rd

  • Get a chance to see how a Christmas story comes together at CPH with Production Stage Manager John Godbout, and Director of Production Joe Martin. They’ll give you a hands-on introduction on what it takes to keep the CPH theatre magic running this holiday season.

The Cleveland Flea Holiday Maker Market

  • 85 local vendors will be showing off their handmade goods to help you round out your Christmas wish list, finish your stocking stuffing, and get those last minute gifts. They will have food and drink vendors and even gift-wrapping stations!
