Is your New Year’s Resolution to get more involved in the community? Or maybe to meet new friends? Do you want to build a new professional network? Want to hone in on more professional development? Or do you just want to learn more about our beloved city?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then the answer is simple, get more involved by joining Engage! Cleveland, one of the 80+ young professional groups in town or the hundreds of non-profits that call Cleveland home.

At Engage! Cleveland, it is our mission is to attract, engage and retain young, diverse talent to Greater Cleveland by connecting young professionals to people, organizations and events. And we offer a variety of ways to do that in a fun, relaxed atmosphere that is the complete opposite of “work”.

Lake_Erie_Monsters.svgYour first chance to get involved this year is at a Lake Erie Monsters game on January 22. The game provides a relaxed opportunity for young professionals to network and meet other young professionals while cheering on our hockey team. There is no formal programming at this event.

Next up, on February 4, we are offering a behind the Gesamt scenes tour and tasting at Hofbrauhaus. By now, you’ve certainly read at least one article noting that Cleveland is a top beer city, so come find out why. We will have an exclusive behind the scenes tour and the opportunity to hear from the Brew Master himself. Attendees will sample the beer and then have time to network with other young professionals. This event is a terrific way to learn more about what is happening in our city and about entrepreneurship. Plus, you can continue to build your professional and personal networks.

12294816_1071134706244461_8784553870345213222_n-2March brings one of Engage! Cleveland’s most sought after events — a Cleveland Cavaliers game and presentation from a top executive. We haven’t determined who we will hear from on March 23, but we promise it will be great. In November, we heard from Cavs President and CEO, Len Komoroski. After the presentation, we watch the game together and continue networking in our seats. If you aren’t sold yet, it’s also J.R. Smith bobblehead night and who doesn’t want a bobblehead?

So the first quarter of our programming sounds terrific, right? There are opportunities to learn, develop and network. But just wait until June when we host our 3rd Annual Cleveland Young Professionals Week from June 20-26. The week will have 30+ events featuring fitness classes, a speaker series, networking and so much more. Our awesome committee members are hard at work planning an absolutely wonderful week for you.
