Meet Our Committee Members | Ben Harper

In the next few weeks, we'll wrap up our "Meet Our Committee Member" blog series, where we introduce you to our amazing team of committee members. Read more about Ben here.

Ben HarperBen Harper Ben does the videography for EC and his claim to fame is the awesome CLE YP Week videos he produces. A Cleveland boomerang, Ben spent 10 years in Washington D.C before coming back to Cleveland.

What kind of music are you feeling the most right now and who are you listening to? My tastes are pretty eclectic and are usually more indie than mainstream. I think Cleveland gets some great live acts and each venue has such a different vibe. I saw more concerts in my first year in CLE than I did in 10 years in DC. I really enjoyed going to my first Sofar Sounds secret concert recently!

East Side or West Side and why? I know everybody likes to pick sides, but as a recent-ish transplant to CLE, I love living on the West Side for the convenience to downtown and Ohio City -- and heading over to University Circle for the museums, the orchestra and a completely different vibe.

If Cleveland proposed to you, would you accept the engagement and where would you want the proposal?Cleveland is the kind of girl... uh, city... you bring home to mom. Yes, of course I would! I would want the city to propose as the Cavs won game 7 of the NBA Finals, and then the city would take me to the top of Terminal Tower.

If you could attend one of the following, which one would you choose: 50-yard-line seats at the Browns game with Bernie Kosar, dinner with your favorite Cleveland chef at his or her restaurant (and which chef and restaurant), or tickets and a backstage pass to see Machine Gun Kelly at his next Cleveland concert? 50-yard-line seats at the Browns game with Bernie Kosar. Some of my earliest memories are watching Bernie and the Browns with my dad.

What is your favorite Cleveland hidden gem? Detroit Shoreway/Gordon Square! If you haven’t been to this amazing neighborhood, you should check it out!

If you played for the Indians, what would be your walkup song? “Gold On the Ceiling” by the Black Keys
