How long have you lived in Cleveland?  I grew up in Cleveland, went away to college, lived briefly in Columbus and then moved back to Cleveland in 2008.

Why did you choose to be on the E!C board of directors?  I chose to be on the E!C Board of Directors because I believe that we have a unique opportunity as a city to shape the economic, community and social future.  The decisions that we make today in engaging the largest generation in the country will have repercussions in our city for decades to come.

What is your top tip for young professionals in Cleveland?  My top tip for young professionals in Cleveland is to take initiative.  It may be an idea that you have been thinking about for a while.  Write it down.  Bounce it off of a few friends and see where it goes.  It could be a project.  Create a plan to see it through. It could be a club meeting that you always wanted to attend.  Go. Take notes and learn more about what they do and why. By taking initiative, you discover things that you are passionate about and that passion will inspire you to shine in everything that you do.

What is your favorite thing about Cleveland?  I love the spirit of Cleveland.  We are forever hopeful. This city is full of people who have seen history, or been a part of history, that has helped to shape the identity of Cleveland.  Whether it is through people's lives, or the historic architecture, this city has so many things that has helped to inspire and build the spirit of Cleveland.

What would you most like to see change/improve in Cleveland?  I really hope that we continue to develop an appreciation for our blessings in Cleveland.  We have so many great things in one place that other cities may not have, such as a beautiful lake, world-class health institutions, a vibrant arts scene and a thriving food culture.

While we certainly have some challenges, as any city does, but the best is yet to come. I pray that we recognize, appreciate, defend and care for the city and its people.  I hope that all community leaders govern wisely as we maintain a sparkling city for the next generation and generations to come.

What is an interesting fact about you? I love to play Ultimate Frisbee!
