Introducing Alexis Clark

Hello! My name is Alexis Clark, and I am currently a student at Cuyahoga Community College. My major is psychology and desired minor is statistics. My future goals are to either use my degrees in human resources or to go into psychology research. Even though I am not pursuing a business degree, I am very excited to intern at Engage! Cleveland, as what they do is very interesting and important to me because keeping/ bringing jobs into Cleveland is important for the growth of the city. I’m also excited to explore different interests that I may have (event planning, graphic design, marketing and advertising etc.). This will also be a fantastic learning opportunity. I’m a huge fan of Cleveland and everything the city has to offer in terms of food, activities, and entertainment. I’ve visited other major cities and, in my opinion, Cleveland has more to do and more interesting activities compared to others. I enjoy running, playing guitar, exploring Cleveland, hammocking, traveling, reading, hiking, trying new restaurants or food places, and kayaking. Usually, my runs or hikes take place in the Metroparks or Cuyahoga Valley National Park! My favorite place to kayak in Cleveland is on the Rocky River and into Lake Erie, and my favorite outdoors locations in the area are Lakewood Park, Edgewater Beach, and the Rocky River Metroparks. I’m always trying to find new food locations in Cleveland. Some of my favorites are Barrio, Yuzu, The Root Cafe, Cravings, and Pier W – although Pier W is a once-a-year restaurant for a college student! Exploring the cities around me and finding unique things to do is another activity I really enjoy.I try to find small events happening in Cleveland, especially during the summer months. One of my favorite Cleveland summer activities to attend is arts and crafts shows. They’re neat to go to and I enjoy looking at local art - andusually at these events, there’s local food trucks, too!
