With global headquarters in Cleveland, Northeast Ohio is home to nearly 5,000 of the Company’s 48,000 employees. More than half of current S-W employees have less than five years of service and the leaders at S-W want to ensure that those employees stay with the company and build their careers. To accomplish this, Sherwin-Williams created a young professionals group called S-W Future Leaders.
Future Leaders launched in 2014, and has grown to more than 300 members. They offer opportunities for professional development, networking, and volunteering. The goal of this group is to cultivate the next generation of leaders that will continue to move their company forward.
At Sherwin-Williams they offer a number of resources for employees looking to advance their careers within the Company. YPs at Sherwin have access to a variety of employee engagement groups, professional development and training opportunities, and the vast network of S-W employees. Employees also have the option to be matched with a junior board or YP group with one of their many community partners.
