How long have you lived in Cleveland? I am from Cleveland, and after traveling the world for a decade, I returned in late 2010.
Why did you choose to serve on an EC committee? I am extremely passionate about my city, and I understand the importance of young professionals living and working here. I love watching my city revive itself, and I want to be part of the renaissance in any way I can!
What do you see E!C looking like/what will E!Cs role in CLE be in the future? I see E!C being active in successfully recruiting thousands of YPs from all over the world. I see us helping put Cleveland back on the radar for YPs who are seeking awesome new places to live and work.
What is your top tip for young professionals in Cleveland? Experience everything Cleveland has to offer: amazing art, theater, music, food, culture, nature, beaches, people, architecture, history, urban agriculture, etc.
What is your favorite thing about Cleveland? If I HAD to choose, I guess I would say, in the words of a good friend, we are a “full city at half price”…we have access to one of the world’s best art museums, the third most recorded symphony on the planet, a playhouse district topped only by Broadway in the entire country, amazing local art, food, and music, all at prices that would leave New Yorkers with their jaws on the floor.
Interesting fact about you? I served in the Peace Corps in Burkina Faso, West Africa for two years when I was fresh out of college…and my pet was a camel!
