E!C Executive Director speaks with HR Executive Women's Group
Engage! Cleveland Executive Director Ashley Basile Oeken joined the HR Executive Women's Group on May 29 to discuss how companies can play an important role in the engagement and retention of YPs in Cleveland. She was part of a panel that focused on:
- Generational attributes of Millennials
- Local trends and services
- Internal employer business resource groups
Ashley's presentation showcased the lack of Millennials in Northeast Ohio's workforce and the need to therefore attract and retain more young professionals. Research shows that YPs who are engaged in their community are 2-3 times more likely to stay. This is why Engage! Cleveland aims to build awareness of Cleveland’s community, start internal young professional organizations, and connect YPs to non-profits or YPOs to get them more involved.
